Dawn's Early Light

It has been raining here for days. Not that I mind.
I find the rain refreshing and calming...
especially in August when it is usually scorching and brown.

For some reason I woke up early this morning.
Not usually a trait of mine.
I love the early mornings but find it hard to pull myself out of bed to enjoy them.

I grabbed my camera and went out to claim the calmness of the morning.

The rain has encouraged the moss to grow everywhere.
I love moss. It's so enchanting.

The world was draped in dew and left~over rain drops.

It seemed as if the whole world was still wrapped in slumber except an occasional happy bird looking for breakfast.

It's the kind of morning when you feel you need to tip-toe quietly in the grass so that the magic spell isn't broken....

and there isn't any question as to why this flower is called a morning~glory.
I'm so glad I was able to catch this beauty before the sun came up and it
closed it's lovely face.

May you find peace and calmness in the day...

I'm off to grab my cup of coffee and breathe in the morning before the sounds of traffic and chatter enter the world.
hugs to you~

the little road says go...

I love the outdoors, especially the outdoors, right outside the doors of our little house.
..
And I love my dear blessings and grandblessings,

so this little poem seemed perfect for an outdoor Wednesday post.
...
As a mother of five precious children, this little poem speaks to my heart. We are all preparing these gifts God has allowed us to have for the little Road. I pray God blesses us all with love, wisdom and kindness as we prepare them for their journeys.
...
The House and the Road

The Little Road says, Go, ...

And the little House says, Stay:

And O, it's bonny here at home,

But I must go away.
...
The little Road, like me,
...
Would seek and turn and know;
...
And forth I must, to learn the things
...
The little Road would show!
Josephine Preston Peabody
...
I hope you enjoyed our morning stroll down my little road this moring. I love the little bit of Heaven that God has blessed us with here in Missouri.
***Sorry all the pics are bunched up at the top. I am experiencing technical difficulties :o)****
...
Enjoy your Outdoor Wednesday!

Pink Summer Surprise

When we got back from our weekend trip...surprise!
look what was waiting for us in the garden.

We ran out to play in the surprise lilies and get some fun summer shots.

It started out all well and good...

...A couple little fairies in the garden.

very sweet

UNTIL.... one little fairy started poking the lilies at her
fairy momma...

and then all giggles broke loose

ah well....it was fun anyway.

The last lily I looked at before going in had this little spider in it.
Not usually a fan of spiders {yeck} but this one kind of looked like
a pearl hiding in the flower.

Have a lovely day!

Subtle and Sweet

I showed you the bright vibrant colors in my garden earlier this week
but there are more subtly sweet flowers as well.....

sweet peas....
pale purple coneflowers....
the lovely faded hydrangeas....

the amazing {but sometimes annoying} mimosas....

Have a wonderfully pink Saturday....

Summer Days

The summer garden isn't shy....

it is bold....

and vibrant.

It is full of surprises....

and beauty.

The summer garden is like a thousand pretty butterflies
flittering outside the kitchen window.

Have a wonderful summer day today

Delicate and Sweet

I hope that you aren't tiring of seeing my garden pictures yet....
the irises are in bloom right now and are spectacular!

I love all the details about them that you might not notice until you get really close and study them well. The amazing little dots.

the beautiful stripes.

one that is just about ready to share its secret.
;

two irises embraced in a hug.

I love the way they sparkle like a million tiny diamonds

when the sun catches them just right.

and when you peer inside, they hold the most amazing surprise.

irises. sweet lovely irises.

THANK YOU so much for all your prayers and kind thoughts for Shauna.
She has made it home from the hospital today.

Warmly,
Chasity

Flowers and Words.

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden,
Than anywhere else on earth.

If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom,
Maybe your soul has never been in bloom. ~Audra Foveo

May you be blessed in a flower garden today. Be still. Be content.
Enjoy your outdoor wednesday visits.

Happy Anniversary Debbie and David!

Friday Photo Faves

It's a new dawn......It's a new day.........
It's Friday! It's May! It's my dad's birthday! AND I slept in bed all night. Life is Good.

Go ahead and sing little robin....It's ok.

We are creeping ...
We are inching...
We are edging very close to the 100 post mark. We have to figure out how we want to enjoy our century celebration.

In the meantime,
I wanted to share some of my favorite photo moments that I've had along the way.

I'm having a great time!
Enjoy your weekend.....
xoxo
