Our Growing Girls

Today was the Birthday Bash for my girls and Shauna's girl.
It is something we have done together for quite a few years now.

Having to do it without her stinks.

But life does continue.

The sun continues to rise every morning.
The seasons continue to change.

And I have to live this life as joyously as I can~

for those girls.

I need to show them the hope that lies within me...
that we will be reunited with Shauna and all our loved ones
if we continue on the journey that God has set before us.

I must show them that my love for them is as deep as the ocean runs deep.

Even when my heart aches from a hole that will never be filled~
they fill my heart with amazing love...
deep and unmovable.

My goal is to make every day special and special days spectacular.

and to remember

"Life is Good"

A Lot to be Thankful For

Besides the fact that it is a beautiful, fairly mild summer morning,
with the day s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g out in front of us with unknown surprises
and with pleasant activities awaiting us,
including spending the day with my blessings and grandblessings...

And that I can hear the cheep, cheep, cheeping of twelve baby chicks newly hatched out of our incubator...oh they are so sweet...and a few more are on the way...

But the best news of all...
..
The most wonderful news of all...
...
What we are most thankful for of all...
..
is that Shauna, our sweet baby sister
..
is cancer free and feeling good!
..
We are even running together again!
..
God has been so good to answer our every prayer...
..
and there have been many.
..
We won't stop praying that she will be cancer free
...
for life.

That's what we are most thankful for.

visit Thankful Thursday for more encouragement and blessings...

New Toes

Maybe this isn't the typical metamorphosis topic but hey, I am excited!
All right....I don't have a before picture because I don't want to gross anyone out--that would be a bad way to start the week--but I can give you a description....
I went from having scaly alligator legs and cracked heels to smooth-as-a-baby-bottom legs and a
fantastic french manicure....

Instead of our typical sisters' coffee club meeting....we went for a pedicure and mom came along too. At first I was hesitant to go...I always have a hard time spending money on something so frivolous.
However, once my feet hit that bubbling water, my guilt melted away. We had a great time and now our feet are sandal ready for spring time!
{mine are the toes in the black and white checkered flip flops if you need to know} :)

Do you allow yourself pampering like this? I highly recommend it on occasion.
Have a great metamorphosis Monday.
xoxo

Ode to a Shopping Day

A is for Anthro

B is for Brownie
C is for Coffee Club
Down on the Plaza....

D is for Darling Aprons

E is for Enormous House

F is for Free Hugs

Down on the Plaza...
We had a wonderful time on the Plaza today. We combined our monthly Sisters Coffee Club meeting with a shopping trip down to Anthropologie to use my gift card from Jeanne's giveaway. Thanks again, you wonderful lady. :)

Here are a few other highlights from the day.
Cuddling with Ben Franklin......I found him to be a bit cold.

His tights kinda look like mine. I just noticed that! How funny.

Take Time

Chasity
Take time this busy week to enjoy your family...Thanks to my wonderful sisters for going to the Sisters Coffee Club with me Sunday. I had a really nice time.

What a bunch of goofs.

You're scarin' me there, Kris!

A fig for partridges and quails,
ye dainties I know nothing of ye;
But on the highest mount in Wales
Would choose in peace to drink my coffee.
