More Importantly

The 3 resolutions that I made in my previous posts will give me a superficial, external sort of peace.....

~which is fine~

I'm a better happier person when I have that daily peace.

But my next resolutions are going to give me a true internal peace.

These are the ones that actually matter.

Resolution #4

Be a more submissive and supportive wife

This is a pretty easy one when times are going good and there aren't any disagreements between my husband and I.... But not so easy

{understatement}

when he makes me mad in some way.

I have a wonderful husband and we rarely argue but I need to keep my attitude in check.
I know that in an argument~ I get defensive way too quickly.

I don't need to get my way every time.
I shouldn't try to get my way every time.
This one is tough for me~~I like to be right.

We have been fed a lie in this country
{and swallowed it very willingly}
that we women should be treated like princesses
and our husbands should be the faithful servants.

I must fight this lie and remind myself of the verses in Ephesians 5

Wives submit to your own husbands as to the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church.......

God ~in his infinite wisdom~ set up a structure for marriages.
And to be truly happy and blessed in my marriage, I need to follow that pattern.

I need to always try to be appreciative.....and supportive......

to hold my tongue when I'm mad......

to be slow to get angry and to be quick to forgive....

{saying sorry can be so hard for me - and that's just sinful pride}

If I want to play the part of a princess~~~
then my husband is the prince.

Resolutions #2 and #3

#2~ Keep the fridge cleaned out

You should be very thankful that I didn't show the before pictures
of the old man food....

You know.... food with a full beard and mustache.
yeck.

I really hate cleaning out the fridge but I
really like for it to be clean.

Can you hire someone to do that job?
Never mind. I can do it.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't like an antibiotic factory

So...resolution #2...I am no longer making penicillin in my fridge.

#3~Keep my crafties organized

It sounds so simple.

Get something out.

Put it away.

Everything has a place....and everything in it's place.

A lovely motto.

Maybe I'll craft that into a sign in my craft room.

and then directly put away the glue and ribbons.

Have a wonderful day.

I'm off to clean.

Resolution # 1....

Develop pictures more than twice a year.

Good grief~
Does anyone else have this problem?

Those aren't individual pictures waiting for photo albums~
those are stacks.

Let's do this one together

I {insert your name here}

do solemnly swear

to develop pictures

at least once a month

AND

to get those pictures into albums instead of
piled into a drawer
.

I feel better just saying it.

For those of you with a folder that says

{send these pics for printing}

~~yes...I really did~~

Now is the time.

Walgreens is having a sale on prints~

9 cents a print!

Now until January 2nd.

That can save a bundle if you have 228 pictures to develop.

I've got them into appropriated stacks....now for the albums.

Good luck!
