Sick of women's underwear

Before you get too excited and think we have left our G-rated blog rules in a moment of temporary frustration with girlie undergarments...
Hold your horses!

I am not about to vent about that thingy-majig that goes by a pseudonym for flip flops...

Nor am I even about to talk about pushups...unless you mean the orange sherbet variety...

No, you see I have been corrupted by Superman...
also known as my hubby.

He is a truly amazing man.

At work they call him MaGuyver. Whenever anyone has a problem they call for hubby, and as he approaches they say "Hey MaGuyver, didja bring your bubble gum?"

I tell him it's a good thing they only think he's MaGuyver. If they knew he was Superman, they would NEVER leave the poor man alone!

Anyway...where was I...oh yes.
Corrupted, by said hubby.

He is very inventive to say the least. Usually this is a FABULOUS thing. However, it has led to a problem or too.
Which brings me to this post.

Superman loves to fix things, and he's good at it. And He likes to invent things.

Like words.

And lyrics to songs...even if they have perfectly good lyrics already.

Seriously, our oldest daughter was probably five before she learned that thingy we use to change the channel was a remote control, and not a remote commode.

Nice.

Our children have been taught from a young age that the reason Eve is named woman is because Adam took one look at her and said "WOAH, MAN!". I could go on for hours...

Most of the time it is pretty funny. But when I catch myself looking out my kitchen window at yet another snowy winter scene (in late February when I am longing for Spring), and I catch myself singing softly as I do the dishes "Sleighbells ring are ya listening, in the lane, snow is glistening. A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight walkin' round in women's underwear."

I really think maybe he has done permanent damage to my thinking.
Possibly irreversible.

Yep.

So you see...I am ready for Spring.

I am tired of snow...

And, evidently, women's underwear.

Nice.

Thanks Superman.

Love, your wifey, Deborah Marie

I love this post. You're hubby sounds adorable! Since my blog is pretty G rated too I don't get to quote my hubby very often. Hugs, Jen

How funny! My husband sounds quite a bit like yours. He loves to say and do things to make us laugh. We think he's kind of predictable in his humor cause we are so used to it. The kids think he's kind of nerdy with it, but they also they that he is the way coolest dad in the whole world and would never want him to change. Someone has to make us laugh, right? Love the song...

oh you are so funny!!! That seriously made me laugh...especially the remote part because I call it the volumizer...even though obviously it had more than that function:)

That is too funny... I must say your husband seems to have a sense of humor sort of like my own. At least a little bit. I love dry, witty...off-the-wall, pun-ny humor.
He actually reminds me MORE of a friend of mine. Exactly, to a tee. Lol!! that makes me miss Dana.

Have a wonderful day!

Here I sit in southern Mo. with a whoppin' temp of 13 in the holler this morn' and snow predicted for Friday. This has been the longest winter ever!

God bless and have a wonderful day...I'm off to sing..." a beautiful sight, were happy tonight walkin' 'round in women's underwear!!!"

Isn't it amazing how we can pick up things from people we spend way too much time around? My sisters-in-law love to tease me when I say or do things a certain way and say "Oh my gosh, that was SO Josiah!"

Hoping spring comes soon, too!
(PS Thanks for stopping by my blog EONS ago. Sorry I'm just returning the greeting now!)

LOL!! I like it. And yes you will never hear that song the right way again! It is fun. I was thinking the other day how many things we say because of the mispronunciation of one child in our family. It is sad when they grow up and no longer say it that way.
Enjoy it as he isn't going to grow out of it! hehe

Nice, Superman. My brother does the same thing and it cracks me up! He doesn't just change words, but he mixes songs together, too. His would go something like this, "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way. Oh what fun it is to ride in a winter wonderland. In the meadow we'll find Mr. Snowman. He'll marry us together and we'll walk in a winter wonderland."
