A Christmas Wish and a Yummy Dish

May your Christmas be filled with

surprises

laughter

song

hugs

excitement

traditions

and love

{and maybe a dance with your husband}

~~Now it's time to get on your apron and let the flour fly~~

Here is a Cinnamon Roll Recipe that will be sure to
bring smiles on Christmas morning...

TJ's Cinnamon Rolls
{I honestly don't know who TJ is or how I get his recipe}

but here it is:

Rolls

2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 tsp warm water

dissolve yeast in water and add sugar
let stand 5 minutes

In separate bowl:
combine~

3 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt

In another bowl:
combine~
1cup milk~scalded and cooled to 100 degrees
1/3 cup veg. oil
2 eggs~room temp.

At low speed, beat in milk, oil, eggs and yeast mixture
to dry ingredients

Beat in 1 and 1/2 more cups of flour until it pulls away from bowl.
Knead 8-10 minutes...
{Play some good music while doing this}

Place in greased bowl and let rise 1 hour.

Filling

1/2 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp cinnamon

Beat until smooth and set aside.

Grease 2 9" cake pans
On lightly floured surface, roll dough into 18" x 10" rectangle
Spread with filling
Roll from long side
Cut into 1 and 1/4 inch slices

Add to cake pans

Let rise 30 minutes

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes.

This is the good part....the aroma filling the house.
mmmmmmm

and the other good part....
eating this scrumptious treat.

Those look SO divine! :) The only time of the year I really bake is at the holidays. I don't cook much, but I do like to bake! I wish you a merry Christmas, too! Enjoy the time with your family!
