One of my bestest friends forever recently gave me this sweet little stack of old
Little Golden Books to craft with.

Remember those wonderful books with the shiny edges?

They have the sweetest pictures in them.
Wonderfully faded from time.
If you are in need of an altered cigar-box with any of these pictures on them....let me know.
These just may be my ticket back to creative geniousness.

Beautiful....love the old books. We recently pulled ours out to use with our grand baby.
Blessings, andrea
Oh, I don't think I could cut them up! Even if I had several copies! I loved those illustrations.
it helps that they are colored in and pages are falling out....
otherwise, i'd never be able to cut them up....

Oh, how sweet....I would have a hard time using them....oh, well, I just saw where you said the pages were falling out....that is a different matter all together.
You know, I saw somewhere...and I don't know where it was now...that someone took the covers to golden books and turned them into journals. White bound paper inside and the covers were the golden books. I remember that because I thought that was a cute idea.....
Have a great VTT and a wonderful weekend.
I love those! Such cute pictures and pretty fonts ... endless possibilities! Very fun collection.
Hi Chas, I have a whole collection of these books from when the kids were little that I refuse to throw away...make something pretty and show me so I'll get inspired, please!!!...
I inspire you..
You inspire me...
She inspires us...
We all inspire each other!!!
That's a good idea to use the old Golden Books for crafts--at least the ones that are already damaged.
I love these books and I just found 5 christmas ones from all different years, so sweet! :)
Those are beautiful...With your imaginative minds, we're looking forward to what you can make. Blessings.
the older books have the sweetest images!!! still in my slump too...
Little Goldens, sweet memories of childhood linger. So sweet, so innocent, so fresh even after all these years. Like fresh air and cotton sheets.
These are some of the classics I too have kept for my kids over the years! Love yours because they are the originals by the looks of them.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
What a treasure you have their Chasity. I still have the little golden books that my mother read to me and I will soon be 57. Ouch, did I say that out-loud??? I am so happy that they sparked your creativity and am excited to see what your going to do with them. Enjoy your book and God Bless!!!
They're so precious aren't they?! My mom saved all of our little golden books and now my children have them...we must have at least 30!

Ooooh! Love the idea of a box with those pics! Hummm... I am in the middle of GETTING RID OF EVERTHING PHASE so I think I will pass on it right now, but I'll keep it in mind if I need a present!
