Relaxing on the Porch

This is my home....a 1901 Craftsman.
Here is the front porch.

This is where we like to eat Bomb Pops....

or swing and watch the bats catch bugs at night.

But the porch I really love is off to the side of the house.
It needs some work but it is just so cozy.
and I love the view from this porch.

So, come on out....let's have a little porch party.

I've prepared some snacks for us...

cupcakes, lemonade, strawberries, pistachio salad.

All the things that make summer so delicious!

Would you like a drink?

I do not like raw coconut.
But toast it in the oven and I will eat it by the shovel-full!
mmmmmm.

Thanks for stopping by today.
It was wonderful to have you join us!

{{After the "photo shoot", the girls enjoyed having a little tea party with the yummy treats}}

Be sure to visit all the other lovely porches on the tour today
Have a wonderful day...
xo

The front of your house reminds me of raspberries :-)

I also think that fave area of yours is a really cozy one and you even have curtains for privacy :-) but I would love to sit on that swing porch of yours. It'll be nice to just sit there very early in the morning to meet the sun or late evening when the sun sets. Very dreamy!

For the yummies - you really prepared. And they really are fitting for summer. Yes please I would love to have a glass of lemonade and a cupcake (well, for cupcakes it's good for me all year round LoL). Also I would like to try your pistachio salad cause I haven't tried one yet.

I hope the little ones left some, but if not... oh well I'm happy to see that they enjoy their tea part very much (just look at those smiles!) :-)

I love porches!! I will never understand why So California homes don't have them: we have the perfect weather and no bugs!!!

Good morning Chasity :)

I love your home! The Craftsman style will forever hold a special place in my heart, because of growing up around them in California. Your front porch is wonderful.

The little side porch is perfect too and I am drooling over your screen door! All of ours are the 50s metal kind, so we'll have to search around for some that look like originals.

The food looks delicious!

What a pretty little house and I love your porch. We don't have many houses with porches around here (so cal) although I was fortunate enough to grow up in a home with a porch. Ahhh the bygone days of enjoying bomb pops...loved those!

I meant to ask, when I dropped by - What is a Bomb Pop?

I think this may be my first visit to your blog. I like how you added curtains to your porch. That is very in right now and Angelo on RMS did it to a porch he designed and it looked great. You will need to post the recipe for your pistachio salad on the Saturday Summer Salads meme.
