So, today our sheet rock~finisher~ guy, Ivan,
came by with his wife to show her our house and where he would be working.
He wanted us to get to meet because she is a stage four breast cancer survivor, and he knows about Shauna.
We are praying for her and they are praying for us.
She was very sweet,
and I was so glad to finally meet her.
Ivan has done work for us before, and is very good at what he does,
but the bonus is, he is just a really nice guy and very family oriented.
So, as nice as he is, I figured I would like his wife.
I wasn't disappointed.
She is as sweet as can be, every bit as kind and good as I expected,
but it's what she said to me that clinched it.
She walked in to my semi-remodeled living room,
with the vaulted ceiling and loft,
took one look around and said,
"Did this used to be a barn?"
***happy sigh***
I love that woman.

Note about Shauna:
Shauna had an out patient procedure to clean out some infection from her previous surgery yesterday. She is doing better today than the last few days.
Thank you for all of your love, kind words and support for her and our family
through this rough, rough journey.
~Love to you friends,
Debbie

Oh Debbie I am so sorry your family is in so much pain and even more sorry for dear Shauna. I am praying for all of you so very much. I am so pleased that Chas has you to help her during this difficult time. We are all so blessed to have Faith and I know Shauna does as well. Many prayers for Shauna that her pain and suffering will be healed.
Am anxious to see some pictures of your house Deb, God Bless....Hus

Debbie, I pray in Jesus name that the surgery will give Shauna relief, and I also pray in Jesus name that her immune system receives an extra boost that will fight in her favor!
Love the comment about the new digs, and I can't wait to see the pics. I know it is going to be wonderful!
XO,
Sheila :-)
I join in with the others in prayin' for sweet Shauna and that she is touched in a might way by the Healer's hands. I pray for her and you all everyday.
How was her dream trip??? I may have missed that one while I was away.
God bless ya and have the most incredible day sweetie!!!
Found your site today and likin' it. I said a prayer for Shauna, and will come back to visit.
Hey Chasity!
After a ton of searching I finally found my way back to your blog and NOW I am a "follower" so I won't have to search over and over again! :)
Through you, almost a year ago, I think, I have been following Shauna's CB site -- but somehow lost track of YOU! :)
Anyway, glad to have found my way back here to your blog. Your home renovation sounds exciting (but you're surely MORE excited to get it done!). :)
Just wanted to pop in and say hi to you and that I have been trying so hard to get back to the sister that I originally met up with via blogs that led me to sister Shauana. Now I'm able to stay updated on BOTH of you! Yay! :)
XOXO
Ruth
I will be praying for you and your new friend. Cancer is so hard...but strangely enough there are so many gifts that come with this terrible disease. If you let them the gifts come. BUT! I'm not telling you anything you don't know. Again, I will be praying.
Also, want to say. . .I love your blogs! LOVE THEM! Your house is going to be so amazing! I can't wait to see it finished.
