My Dream Farm

Hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
Ours was bitter sweet.
Our Dear Grandma K. passed away last week.
She was 94 years old.
We will miss her while on this earth but we are so thankful that she is no longer suffering.

We look forward to seeing you in Heaven some sweet day Grandma.
~~Love you~~

*******************************

So......

I told you recently that my girls are taking horse riding lessons.

It was down this country road that I found my dream home...

and I thought that I was already living in my dream home.

Life is sure full of surprises.

I still love my 100 year old Craftsman~

but just look at this beauty.

~~and all that land that surrounds it~~

I could have furry-footed chickens in that little outbuilding
and gather the eggs in my apron every day.

I could have my own horse....

and a tractor......

and a 4-wheeler.

I could swing on the porch and look across the fields...
and gaze dreamily at the beautiful barn that is directly across the road......

aaaahhhhhh.....

Is it for sale?

nope.

But I can still dream.

I can't wait to see it in spring.

I hope it has an apple tree.

Very interesting...I live way out in the country in VT (not by choice) and I just went to my favorite dream site, realtor.com, and zip code, 32789, FL, and found my dream house, just a few doors down from my old house there. We are all so different.

I may not comment much, but prayers are being sent all the way from VT for your sister. I have 5 myself.

Yes, it is a beautiful country home but I bet your Craftsman home is just as lovely, in a different way. Those are my two favorites - country farmhouse and Craftsman; I watch Monk just to see his furniture -smile-.
Love the photos of you and your sisters, how poignant and beautiful.

I have those dream homes too, but then I walk in my old door and I forget all about them ;)

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. I'm glad she's no longer suffering, but I understand your pain.

I am so sorry to hear about your grandma! I lost my grandma two years ago and still can't really believe that she is gone. I would be dreaming of that farm too:-)

Chas, that is a beautiful farm. I am going to have to take a drive over there just to see it in person. I hope you got some good rest last night. You need to take care of yourself, so that you can help take care of Shauna. She is going to be fine. Goggle her name and see how many "hits" there are for her where people are praying for her. It is amazing. And so uplifting. You know they are praying for us to have strength and courage too.
Love You,
Mom

So sorry about your Grandma. My Grandma will be 93 tomorrow and we have been told she probably won't live till Christmas. She is so ready to go Home! We will all miss her terribly, but she just wants to go see Jesus.

I love that front porch, and all the land, so I can see how you now have a new dream.
You ladies look like you have a lot of fun together.

Sorry to hear of your loss, but you have HOPE! A lot of people have no hope of ever seeing their loved ones again.

I love that ole house, and barn. It reminds me of my drooling days and phases of when I log onto Southern Living and scroll through their house plans. It's hard to decide what is the "dream home". Certainly it has to have a HUGE front porch... and gables... and...on and on!

Chas, how on earth did I miss the fact that your grandmother died??? Oh, sweetie... I'm so sorry. I remember seeing this post, but I must have missed that. Sometimes I go too fast. That is one reminder that I need to slow waaaaaaaay down. Please accept my sincerest sympathy on the loss of your precious grandmother.

Love to all of you and tender hugs....

XO,

Sheila :-)

Nothing wrong with having day dreams. Sometimes, like in this case, that is all you can do. Just look at it, but live and enjoy what you have.
