The Key to My....

heart....the key to a secret box....the key to a garden gate...the key to my front door?
I just got these...
...
.....don't they seem to hold so many secrets?
...
Plus......they may work in some of my doors. All of my doors still use skeleton keys.
...
I am the only person I know {excluding my husband} who has a skeleton key on my key ring.
Yes....I have heard the laughter. I don't mind.
...
Keys---------Glorious Keys.
...
They are almost as fun as a jar full of buttons.

Oh I agree, Just as good as a jar full of buttons and who doesn't have several of those? My grandmother's house had doors with skelton keys and glass doorknobs! I just love them! The friend of the family that bought her house kept them!

I think a jar of skeleton keys blows away a jar of buttons! TOTALLY! :)

I love skeleton keys, too. In fact, we just had a very old armoire refurbished and the fellow who did the work found an old skeleton key that fit the lock--now the door stays shut! :)

I hope the sale is a great one this weekend for you. Is is outside? If the egg hunt planned for my gr. girl is called off, maybe I can talk a friend into driving to Lexington with me!

Hope you have a wonderful Easter!!! Dana

I would love to still have locks that use skeleton keys. I'd also like to collect them, I've been keeping an eye out but haven't found any yet I'll just have to keep looking :)

Where did you find all of those?!? I am always looking for old skeleton keys and have had no luck at all up here in St. Joe. If you ever decide to sell any please let me know. Or we could trade for some vintage buttons...I know how you like those :o)

I've never had to use a skeleton key. But I remember years ago my Grandmother having one on some string that she still used for her front door. I wonder now that she's gone and the house has been torn down. What ever happened to that key?

These are so cool. What are you going to do with them? I saw some at an estate sale and they were like $4 each!! spendy.
